Golden Dreams is a Yelp-like smartphone app for jobseekers and migrant workers that is essentially a critical tool for education and empowerment, safe migration, ethical recruitment, and getting access to assistance if needed. Users can study updated information on costs and processes of migrating, and worker rights in destination countries, and can also read crowdsourced, anonymized ratings and reviews on employers, recruiters, and service providers. There is also a Recruitment Marketplace, where responsible employers (and soon registered recruitment agencies) can post jobs in their language, and workers can browse and research the opportunities in their language, and even apply directly at no cost.
Features are regularly being added to Golden Dreams - see the factsheet below!
